Many people refuse to exercise with peace of mind under the pretext of "not having long sex". Actually, just exercising once or twice a week can give you several more years to live!
The World Health Organization recommends that adults engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise or 75 minutes of high intensity exercise every week. Moderate intensity exercise includes cycling, brisk walking, or gardening, while high intensity exercise includes running, etc. Researchers from Loughborough University in the UK, Harvard University School of Medicine in the US and University of Sydney in Australia evaluated the effect of this suggestion. They tracked and studied multiple volunteers over the age of 40 for an average of 9 years.
The results showed that people who exercise regularly, which means exercising more than three times a week, have better physical fitness. Compared to those who do not exercise at all, those who exercise regularly have a 35% lower chance of early death during the study period; People who only exercise once or twice on weekends but meet the total exercise time standard have a 30% lower risk of premature death.
In addition, regular exercise can reduce the risk of death from cancer by 21% and cardiovascular disease by 41%. But exercising once or twice a week also reduced the risk of dying of cancer by 18% and cardiovascular disease by 40%. Even if the total duration of exercise is not "up to standard", the "resistance" effect to cancer and cardiovascular disease is not much worse.
The relevant report was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Volume of Internal medicine. The Daily Mail of the United Kingdom quoted researchers as saying on the 10th that "it is better to do physical exercises in leisure time than not to move, and the frequency is not so important."
