Adhering to regular exercise can keep the heart and arteries young and healthy

[Global Network Comprehensive Report] According to the BBC report on May 21, research shows that exercising four to five times a week helps prevent hardening of the heart aorta, and moderate exercise at an appropriate time can reverse the aging of the heart and blood vessels.

Researchers suggest that any form of exercise can reduce the risk of heart problems. This study, published in the Journal of Physiology, observed participants' lifelong exercise history and measured their arterial stiffness.

Researchers in the United States have found that exercising 2-3 times a week for a lifetime (approximately 30 minutes each time) can make younger and healthier medium-sized arteries supply blood to the brain and neck. According to the British national National Medical Service System Guidelines, people who exercise 4-5 times a week will have healthier large central arteries and medium-sized arteries, and large blood vessels mainly supply blood to the chest and abdomen of the human body.

This study did not consider analytical factors such as diet, social background, and education, which can also have an impact. Dr. Benjamin Levine, the main author of the Institute of Sports and Environmental medicine in Dallas, Texas, said: "This work is exciting. It enables us to make exercise plans to keep the heart young, and even make the heart and blood of the elderly young again."

He stated that previous studies have shown that it is "too late to reverse heart aging" to focus on exercise until the age of 70, because even after a year of training, it is difficult to change the structure of the heart and arteries at that stage.

Arteries are blood vessels that input and output blood to the heart and transport it to various parts of the body. The shape of each artery is like a tube, and as age increases, these arteries are prone to hardening, and unhealthy lifestyles can also cause fatty substances to block the arteries.
